Officers were called to the transit center, near East Bonneville Avenue and South First Street, at about 6:49 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, police said. All three people were found with gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital. Police had not released the conditions of the wounded or any names as of late Sunday night, and they did not say what led to the shooting.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) said the transit center's bays were closed after the shooting, with bus pickups and drop-offs temporarily moved to nearby streets. Riders were asked to allow extra time and to follow directions from RTC staff on site, and police asked the public to avoid the area while officers worked at the scene.
