What prosecutors allege happened in August

According to prosecutors, the incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, when the victim arranged to meet an acquaintance in Teaneck to purchase THC cartridges. The acquaintance arrived in a dark-coloured vehicle with two other individuals. Investigators allege that when the victim entered the vehicle, all three occupants pointed firearms at him and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects also allegedly threatened the victim while demanding that he transfer additional funds through a mobile banking application, and seized his cellphone before he could get out of the vehicle, prosecutors said. The incident was reported to Teaneck police on August 24, prompting the joint investigation.
