Manuel Joseph Martinez pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder for killing 19-year-old Abraham Romo and 23-year-old Ebony Martinez, according to KKOB. Both were shot while in the back seat of an SUV on Siringo Road.
Martinez had said he was being robbed by the couple when he shot them — that was his account, as reported by KKOB. The plea agreement, approved by the judge earlier this year, allowed for a range of 18 years to 35 years at sentencing, and the judge imposed the maximum of 35 years.
A second report of the sentencing, carried by PostGoo, likewise described Martinez, 26, receiving 35 years for the double murder from the back seat of an SUV on Siringo Road.
