The U.S. Department of State has released the November 2026 Visa Bulletin, the monthly chart that decides whose green-card case can move, and for applicants born in India the picture is one of small steps rather than a breakthrough, according to summaries published by the Murthy Law Firm and WR Immigration (Wolfsdorf).

On the Final Action chart — the chart that governs when a visa number can actually be issued or an adjustment application approved — EB-3 skilled workers and professionals for India advance 21 days, to January 22, 2014. EB-3 Other Workers for India advance by the same amount, also to January 22, 2014.
India's other employment-based final-action dates do not move: EB-1 remains at February 1, 2023, and EB-2 remains at November 1, 2013. For the rest of the world, EB-2 advances three months to April 1, 2025, and EB-3 advances one month to June 15, 2024, while EB-1 stays current for countries other than India and China. No category retrogresses in November, WR Immigration reported.

The filing chart is where November helps India applicants most
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has confirmed that employment-based applicants must use the Dates for Filing chart in November 2026, Envoy Global reported. On that chart, India's dates are far ahead of the final-action dates: EB-1 India is July 1, 2024, and both EB-2 India and EB-3 India are January 15, 2015 — meaning eligible applicants with priority dates before those cutoffs can file their adjustment-of-status applications in November even though a visa number is not yet finally available.

Final Action: EB-1 Feb 1, 2023 (no change); EB-2 Nov 1, 2013 (no change); EB-3 Jan 22, 2014 (up 21 days). Dates for Filing: EB-1 Jul 1, 2024; EB-2 Jan 15, 2015; EB-3 Jan 15, 2015.
For Punjabi and other Indian families in the United States — many waiting more than a decade in the EB-2 and EB-3 lines — the practical advice from immigration lawyers is unchanged: check your priority date against both charts, and if your filing date has become current in November, do not wait, because filing charts can change again the following month. This report is general information from the published bulletin summaries, not legal advice for any individual case.
