The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not released the identity of the person killed or additional details about what caused the crash, News 9 reported, and the investigation is continuing. I-35 through southern Oklahoma is a heavily used freight corridor between Texas and Oklahoma City, so a full southbound closure affects truck traffic as well as local drivers.
