The reports did not say how the threat was received, how many patients were moved, or whether any suspect had been identified or arrested, and no injuries were reported in the coverage. Those details had not been released as of Sunday night.
Carrollton is a suburb northwest of Dallas. A full hospital evacuation is a major operation: patients who cannot move on their own must be transferred by ambulance with medical staff, and emergency patients arriving by ambulance or on their own must be sent elsewhere until the facility reopens. Officials had not announced a reopening time in the reports available Sunday night.
