Sheriff's deputies responded at about 2:22 p.m. to the 600 block of Center Road, close to a local school, My Everett News reported. Investigators believe the vehicle and the scooter collided and that the vehicle flipped, KOMO reported, but deputies had not yet confirmed the full sequence because they had not yet spoken with the 16-year-old.

Two children inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were not taken to hospital, according to the Seattle Focal's report of the sheriff's account.
