KENOSHA, Wisconsin — Two people were found shot dead inside an apartment in Kenosha on Monday afternoon, Kenosha police said. Officers conducting a welfare check at about 2:51 p.m. in the 5500 block of Washington Road, at the Villa Royale Apartments, found Rodney Brushwood, 57, and Rena O'Neal, 59, both of Kenosha, with fatal gunshot wounds, according to Kenosha Police Lieutenant Adam Jurgens, reported by the Kenosha County Eye and TMJ4.

Police identified Michael A. O'Neal Fleming, 33, as a person of interest in the double homicide and issued a public alert describing him as armed, dangerous and unstable, urging anyone who saw him to call 911 and not approach him. That is the police description; Fleming has not been charged in the Kenosha deaths in the reports, and no motive has been announced.

On Tuesday, Fleming was located and arrested in Chicago with assistance from the United States Marshals Service, Kenosha police and the Seattle Police Department said. Kenosha detectives will work with the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office on extradition proceedings and possible charges in Wisconsin, TMJ4 reported.

Fleming is separately charged with first-degree murder in King County, Washington, in the October 13 shooting of Graeme Dobbeck, 36, at a 76 gas station at 351 Broad Street in Seattle, according to court documents. Those allegations have not been proven in court. Seattle police said Fleming was arrested in Chicago without incident on Tuesday evening.

The Kenosha investigation remains ongoing, police said. Awaaz Punjab is not naming any further details that police have not released, and will update this story if charges are filed in Wisconsin.
