The Supreme Court's decision to take the matter up on its own — six months after the death — puts a serving judicial officer's death, and the questions his family has raised, before the Chief Justice's bench. What directions, if any, the court issues will be known after Friday's hearing; Awaaz Punjab will update this story as the hearing's outcome is reported.
