Medical personnel at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Anadolu Agency that the drone fired two missiles at the tent, which stands west of al-Zawayda. Local sources identified the man killed as Abd Walid Matar.

The strike was among several Israeli military operations reported across the Gaza Strip on Thursday despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025. In Gaza City, Israeli artillery reportedly targeted eastern neighbourhoods, Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward the coastline, and a separate drone strike was reported in the city's Al-Karama neighbourhood, Anadolu reported.

Israeli forces also conducted a demolition operation east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, the agency said.

Israeli authorities had not provided a response to the specific incidents described in the Anadolu report, and the casualty figures given by Gaza health authorities have not been independently verified.

The ceasefire-era toll, as reported by Gaza's Health Ministry

Gaza's Health Ministry reported that Israeli actions it classified as ceasefire violations have resulted in 1,599 Palestinian deaths and 5,774 injuries since the agreement took effect, Anadolu reported. The ministry also said the overall death toll from Israeli military operations in Gaza since October 8, 2023 has exceeded 74,000, with more than 174,000 people injured — figures attributed to Gaza health authorities.

The latest incidents followed attacks on Tuesday that left three Palestinians dead, including people who succumbed to injuries from earlier strikes; among them was a young girl killed when an Israeli drone struck a displacement tent near Gaza Municipality Park, according to the same reporting.

Anadolu also reported that the prolonged war has caused extensive damage across the territory, with approximately 90 per cent of civilian infrastructure reportedly affected. Despite the ceasefire, continuing reports of airstrikes, artillery fire and demolitions keep raising questions over the durability of the truce and the safety of displaced families living in tents.
