The strongest action followed a complaint from the Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi area. An inquiry had found that the then building inspector and the municipal engineer created property IDs without prior approval from the competent authority and without following the set procedure. Saini ordered a 50 per cent salary cut for both officials for three months, chargesheets against them, and their transfer outside Haryana's National Capital Region districts, according to the reports.

The Chief Minister said every officer and employee must treat citizens with dignity and that misbehaviour with the public, or ignoring their grievances, would not be accepted.

On a separate complaint that road restoration work was not carried out to the required standard, Saini ordered the deduction of one month's salary of the Public Works Department executive engineer concerned, and directed officials to monitor development projects regularly and complete road work on time and to standard.
